ITIC — International Teacher Identity Card

ITIC — international card confirming identity and status of a professor/teacher or trainer/instructor (International Teacher/Professor Identity Card), which was established by the International Student Tourism Confederation (ISTC) under auspices of UNESCO in 1984 for the purpose of securing of international recognition and official confirmation of the status of a professor/teacher and trainer/instructor worldwide.

With the help of ITIC cards their holders get access to special offers/prices for goods and services and additional opportunities throughout the world.

ITIC card may be issued to:

Lecturers/teachers, trainers/instructors of institutes, universities, colleges, academies, vocational-technical schools, courses (language training courses and other ones), gymnasia (educational, sports ones), educational centers, children’s clubs.

ITIC has a fixed validity period, which is equal to 16 months, from September 1 till December 31 of the next year.

In order to have an ITIC card issued it is necessary to submit the following documents:

  • Completely filled application for issuance of the Identity Card.
  • A document (its copy certified either by a notary or by the personnel office) or a reference from workplace confirming the status of lecturer/trainer as for the moment of ITIC issuance.
  • A copy of the first page of international passport in order to know the spelling of family name and first name in it.
  • A document verifying identity and confirming the date of birth: passport/international passport or driver’s license.
  • A passport-sized photograph (3õ4) — an issued ITIC card should contain a real photograph.
  • Cash or the original of the card issuance payment receipt (in the case of cashless payment).
